What is the purpose of this club?
The purpose of the club is to welcome women to the City of Burlington and the Town of Flamborough by providing them with social opportunities to make new friends and better acquaint themselves with the services and amenities of the City of Burlington and its surrounding communities.

What is the monthly Club activity?
The Social takes place on the first Wednesday of each month. It can consist of a dinner, entertainment, speakers, a games night and various other related events organized on your behalf.

Who is eligible for membership in the Newcomers Club?
Our Club is open to women who have lived in Burlington for less than two years. It also includes women who may have experienced a change in life circumstance in the past year (i.e. divorce, widowhood, retirement, etc) with approval of the Executive.

What is the cost of membership to the Burlington Newcomers Club?
Current membership fees are $30. due in September. If joining after January these fees are pro-rated. If a membership is allowed to expire, that member will not be allowed to return to the club at a later date.

How are members informed of monthly activities?
Each paid member receives a monthly Newsletter with currently organized activities/clubs. This is accompanied by a calendar and any additional updates

(i.e. semi-annual membership listing, By-laws, etc).

How does one become involved with the social activities/groups?
In order to join any activity/group, membership must be paid in full, and said member be in good standing with the Club. It is mandatory that all activity/club members take on the duties of host or co-host as directed by the Activity Convenor. All activities are open to all members.

Can the Burlington Newcomers Club members list be used in my business?
Use of the name of the Burlington Newcomers Club or its membership list for the purpose of soliciting or any other commercial purpose is prohibited. The membership list must not be reproduced or shared in any way outside of Club usage. If it is proven that a member has used the list in such a way, her Membership will be forfeited immediately.
